Licensing and Lender Identification

Last reviewed: 4 August 2026

Mortgage advertising rules in several states require a loan originator to identify himself, his sponsoring company and both NMLS unique identifiers wherever he advertises. Those identifiers appear in the footer of every page on this site. This page carries the rest of it — who you are actually dealing with, where he can lend, and the terms on which everything here is offered.

Verifying any of this

For licensing information, go to: www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org. NMLS Consumer Access is the free public database maintained by the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System. Search either NMLS ID above and you will see the license status, the states it covers, the employment history behind it and any regulatory action — taken from the regulators’ own records rather than from this site.

Where loans are offered

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is licensed in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, VA and WA.

Nothing on this site is an offer to lend in a state not listed. License coverage changes; NMLS Consumer Access is authoritative and this list is not. The company’s state-by-state license numbers and the disclosures individual states require are published at crosscountrymortgage.com/mortgage/licensing-and-disclosures.

What this site is, and what it is not

This site exists to introduce Monty Felts, his writing and his book. It is not a commitment to lend and not an offer of credit. No rate, term, program or approval is promised anywhere on it, and nothing here creates an application or an obligation on either side.

All loans are subject to credit approval, underwriting and program guidelines. Rates, terms and programs are subject to change without notice. Any figure, timeline or outcome described on this site — including in the articles and in Lending Unleashed — is illustrative of one person’s experience and is not a representation of what any particular borrower or loan officer will achieve. See the Earnings and Results Disclaimer.

Equal Housing Opportunity

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is an Equal Housing Opportunity Lender. Applications are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status or disability, as required by the Fair Housing Act; or to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age (provided the applicant has the capacity to contract), or because all or part of the applicant’s income comes from a public assistance program, as required by the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.

Complaints

Texas requires a specific complaint and Recovery Fund notice, published in the Department’s own words at Texas Complaint and Recovery Fund Notice. You may also contact CrossCountry Mortgage directly, the mortgage regulator in your own state, or the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov.

If something here is wrong

License details change and this page can fall behind. If a number, an address or a state is out of date, tell us at [email protected] and it will be corrected. Where this page and NMLS Consumer Access disagree, NMLS Consumer Access is right.
